stopping the world for a moment
... a little piece of
Irish country life in a gracious 19th Century house built
for a rebellious young Squire
... the finest bedlinen,
feather duvets, roll-top baths, good books and antiques
... relaxing in front of
a roaring fire before a sumptuous candlelit dinner with the
best of Northern Ireland's rich home produce cooked freshly
and with flair, accompanied by fine wines from around the
world
Built around 1855, Grade B1-listed Marlagh Lodge, on the
outskirts of Ballymena, Co Antrim, was restored by Robert
and Rachel Thompson who bought the property in 2003.
It
now provides elegant country house accommodation in three
beautifully decorated ensuite rooms, and is a fine location
for private dinner parties.
